Quality
At Porthgwara Nursing Home we maintain quality by continually monitoring and updating our nursing, catering, domestic and management policies, procedures and practices. We have a robust Quality Management System and through implementing this we aim to maintain outstanding quality standards. All members of our Management team participate in this process which is conducted in a manner that will not jeopardise the whole concept of Porthgwara.
Residents’ well-being is paramount. Porthgwara Nursing Home is, after all, the resident’s “home”. Our quality of care is ensured through our quality and procedure manuals which have been compiled jointly by the Registered Manager, Head of Care, Catering Manager and the Housekeeper thus encompassing each department. Feedback from each of these departmental heads, via the Registered Manager/Owners enables us to control the quality system with periodic and systematic reviews.
All staff must strictly adhere to our Policies and Procedures and are given training and support to do this. Our Quality Management System ensures the continuance of our high standard of care.
